You know, it's rather interesting to me that Taylor Swift's parasocial relationship with her fans is honestly more akin to a YouTuber than a writer's. When I scroll through her tag on tumblr/Twitter, it's far more regarding the connection to her personal life/relationship developments than the actual metaphors/fictional story she might be telling. Everything comes back to how her songs reflect back on her relationships with Joe/Matty/Travis/Jake/insert ex-boyfriend here. And what fascinates me about it is that even though she complains about it, she leans into that very perception because it strengthens the parasocial bond.
The marketing for TTPD so clearly being about Joe Alwyn and the songs to Matty Healy. The marketing/video for Red TV so CLEARLY being about Jake Gyllenhaal, with so many of the new lines in All Too Well specifically being digs at him (I'll get older but your lovers stay my age, casting an actor that looks like him for the video, specific lines in I Bet You Think About Me). The fact that songs like Getaway Car and Bejeweled and Gorgeous and London Boy and Lavender Haze being picked apart at time of release and long after for signs of relationships crumbling. The way she uses surprise songs in relation to her relationship development with Joe/Matty/Travis. The damn TTPD "stages of grief" playlists where she deliberately undid/changed the meanings of old songs just to keep her audience speculating on her love life.
It's not sexist to point out that her wielding her love life is a marketing tool and that the strongest connection to her audience isn't the strength of her writing/the composition of her music- it's her deliberate crafting of a connection between her music and her personal life, leaving the audience invested in her music as an extension of Taylor the Person/Girlfriend rather than Taylor the Artist.

hey guys, maybe before you pirate LEARN SOME ETIQUETTE
why are these important? well, if you openly share the sites, they wil get shut down. corporations are willing to copyright strike anything. you are only going to make accessing these resources harder.
remember: LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS
if you want to share resources, don't post them on public forums like tumblr, twitter, instagram or any popular site. remember how zlibrary shut down? yall want that to happen to more sites? do you?
also like if they get shut down, people who can't access these otherwise because they don't have the means for it or its banned in their country are losing access.
Don't post links online. Only share in private conversations.
try and avoid linking the sites directly. a workaround is sharing the downloaded files via other file hosting sites similar to google drive and drop box
DON'T SHARE ON PUBLIC FORUMS. EVER. PLEASE
Use a VPN. i personally like proton vpn, it is a freemium model but the free version works fine.
These are just the basics, there are others but please keep these in mind.

"Unfortunately, the sinister nature of corporate perks isn’t limited to the world of Severance. Wellness perks can be and are used every day, particularly in the US, to control workers and harness their data. Labour historians have described these types of perks as one of the features of welfare capitalism, a term that came about in the 1920s when American companies began offering employees subsidised housing as part of their job package, along with health insurance and retirement plans, with the point being to make workers more productive and dissuade them from joining unions."

Okay I'm so sleep deprived so pardon whatever this is but something that's got me FUCKED up about ai generated pictures songs writing is that it just fucking kills the ability to analyse for me because there's no fucking INTENTION behind it. Like why was this decision made why were these colours used what does that say about the work NOTHING because a bunch of programming took work that DID have intent and theme and purposeful choices and turned it into SLOP. Like I COULD analyse this but it doesn't MEAN anything it's EMPTY I want to EXPLODEEE
#Like you can. You can technically analyse ai work for theme and visual literary etc motif but it's all fucking slop to me man#It's making me so cynical about like. Art. I guess. Given the state of corporations and capitalism and the endless stream of#MAKE MONEY BY ANY MEANS. FOR EVERY SECOND THE LINE DOESN'T GO UP WE EXECUTE A HOSTAGE#Like FUCK#I saw that fucking coca cola ad on tv and I wanna get violent man. Like the ad as a representation of all of. This#I know an ad isn't the same kinda thing it's just on my mind#Like nothing means anything anymore it's all gotta be slop it's all gotta be easy corporate slop to appease the market. Every fuckin thing#Ai generated shit is just an endless meaningless hole of malicious thieving garbage and I want to commit a crime#Sorry hi I've been back on that doing art professionally (kinda) grind and I haven't slept in a solid three days it's kinda wearing on me#Gonna be real lads#Oh also that's another thing this is my fucking. Like career path. I do art. And I have to monetize my one great passion. In order to eat#And pay for the constantly exploding rent prices. And now corporations are like hmmmmm#What if we didn't even pay you for that#What if. Hear me out. We stole people's work and made a computer do it#AND THE STUFF THE COMPUTER IS DOING IS GARBAGE#MEANINGLESSNESS SHIT ON TOP OF MEANINGLESS SHIT. FOR PROFIT#Uh anyways I'm going to bed now I have to get up in 3 hours I hope everyone has a better night than this and gets some rest!!#ai mention#vent post

Reality show where we strip billionaires of their wealth and force them to get a job with ONLY their prior work experience on their resume if they can actually “pull themselves up by their bootstraps” and earn a million dollars in a year they get their money back. If not all their assets are liquidated and they are eaten

"Watching television is like taking black spray paint to your third eye."
Pornography is any act that has no artistic merit and causes sexual thoughts...Sounds like almost every commercial on TV to me.
I'm tired of this back-slappin' "isn't humanity neat" bullshit. We're a virus with shoes.”

I guess that if you haven't ever read or watched something that criticizes capitalism or imperialism, even the most basic criticism shocks you.

Although I’m not sure if this was the director’s actual intent, I like how the games of both seasons of Squid Game reflect the theme of the story (excluding Red Light, Green Light since that’s more of a basic, early elimination game). S1 was about how unfair capitalism is as a system. We saw that reflected in:
1) Dalgona: people are randomly handicapped by the images they select since they’re not told what the images mean. So it’s the same game, but some people have it easier than the others while other people are doomed from the start.
2) Tug-of-War: it’s unfair since the contestants aren’t told what they’re playing and some people are at a natural disadvantage due to their physical strength
3) Marbles: the goal is to defeat your opponent by any means necessary
4) Glass Steps: literally, just a leap of faith. If you’re lucky, you live. If you’re unlucky, you die.
5) Squid Game: same as marbles.
Meanwhile, S2 was more about human nature and how even though the system of capitalism is destructive and unfair, people are willing to play ball with it. When given the choice of doing things for the greater good or your own self-interest, people will choose their own interests. We saw that reflected in:
1) Six-legged pentathlon: the game reinforces the idea that if you die, it’s because you were dragged down by the people around you. Also, since there are mixed teams, the people who wanted to live are dragged down by the people who chose their own interests over other people’s survival.
2) Mingle: people will backstab each other in order to survive. We saw that in full display when Min-su threw Se-mi under the bus, despite her having his back in the earlier episodes. Also, people will tear other groups apart if it means their own interests are protected. We saw that in display when two strangers dragged Yong-sik away from his mom, knowing full well that she could’ve died.
TL;DR Squid Game S1’s games were about capitalism as a system since they’re inherently unfair and are centered on competition. S2’s games were about human nature and people being inherently selfish since they encourage backstabbing and the idea that people will drag each other down.

oh god ANOTHER piece of Kipperlily's hypocrisy and the unfairness of everything. Adaine's spell components. They get gold for adventuring, that's how/why Tiberia Runestaff was so nonchalant about expecting them to be able to afford the obscene cost.
But Adaine lost all of her gold that she would have had from cutting ties with her dogshit family AND all the gold she got from LITERALLY SAVING ELMVILLE IF NOT THE WORLD to dragon madness. It doesn't matter that she had a tragic backstory, she still was at a permanent disadvantage. It doesn't matter that she was a better, more courageous adventure, she still was at a permanent disadvantage.
And then take Oisin. You don't earn gold from killing rats in a forest for months on end. But coming from wealth meant that he didn't have to be a good hero. He didn't even have to be a hero at all. All he needed was the wealth and he'd always have a leg up on Adaine. Couple that with being a descendant of a powerful dragon (who's still alive, and therefore their hoard is unaffected by dragon madness*) and there's no way that this wealth could be ripped from him from due to factors outside of his control.
Having a normal/healthy/non-traumatic backstory actually means that you're not at a disadvantage, and if anything, you're taking a far easier path. Who could have guessed?
*I don't remember how dragon madness works verbatim but I'm guessing Oisin is immune to it no matter what
